Invitesaudi
Privacy policy
Effective 5 November 2026.
Invitesaudi is one Android app for hosting an event and for receiving an invitation. The website at invitesaudi.com is the invite page for someone who does not want an account. This policy covers the app and that website.
Who we are
The service is operated under the domain invitesaudi.com. Privacy questions and deletion requests go to privacy@invitesaudi.com.
Information the app and the invite page collect
- Account: name, email address, and a password stored only as a hash. Google sign-in stores the Google account id and email.
- Events you host: title, description, place, date and time, time zone, capacity, and RSVP deadline.
- Guests you add: name, email address, and phone number, plus the invite link, whether it was sent, whether it was opened, and the reply.
- Replies: yes, no, or maybe, and how many people are coming.
- A confirmation code sent to the invited email. The code is stored as a hash and expires after a short time.
- A copy of your events and invitations saved on the phone so the list can open on a slow connection.
How that information is used
- To run the account, the guest list, the invite link, and the RSVP.
- To send a confirmation code and other messages required to complete an invitation. Those messages are not marketing, and the marketing opt-out does not stop them.
- To send marketing email only while that address is opted in. New addresses are opted in until they opt out.
- To measure how the product is used, with PostHog on the app and the invite page, and with Firebase on the Android app. The invite page may also load Google tags when those are configured.
What we keep out of analytics
Session recordings hide phone numbers, email addresses, and confirmation codes. Invite links are removed from analytics addresses and recordings. A recording cannot be used to open someone else’s invite.
Marketing email
In the app, open Account and turn marketing emails off. Without the app, use the email preferences page. We email a link to that address, and the choice is saved only after the link is opened. Opting out stops marketing email to that address. It does not stop invitation codes.
Deleting an account
In the app, open Account and choose Delete account. That removes the account, the events hosted by that account, and the guest lists on those events. An invitation sent to that email by someone else stays on their event. The marketing choice for that email is kept so a later message does not opt the address back in. You can also email privacy@invitesaudi.com and ask for the same deletion.
Who else receives information
The live service runs on a server we control. Email is sent through SendGrid when that account is connected. Measurement is sent to PostHog and, on Android, to Firebase. Google sign-in is confirmed with Google. We do not sell personal information.
How long it is kept
Account and event information stays until the account is deleted or the event is removed. Confirmation codes are deleted when they expire or when a reply is confirmed. Server logs may keep an address for a short time to diagnose a failed email.
